Your Hit Chart (max, carry, and setting your own numbers)
Your **Hit Chart** (the Numbers tab) is your per-club distances, learned from the rounds you actually play. Each club shows two honest numbers: - **MAX** — your *longest* with that club. It's robust: one lucky downhill bounce never sets it. We take the distance you've reached and **backed up with other shots**, so the number is real, not a fluke — and it climbs as you get longer. - **CARRY** — how far it flies *in the air*. On-course play measures **total** distance (where the ball ends up, roll included), so carry is shown as an **estimate** from your max. Only a launch monitor measures true carry. Between them sits your **comfortable range** (e.g. "142–147") — your reliable, everyday zone. That's the number the on-course caddie suggests from, so it never tells you to hit *less* club than you really need.
- **Your shots are never deleted.** Every stroke you log stays — good ones and bad ones. The chart just reads them smartly (your longest + your reliable zone), so a few chunked or short shots never drag your number down. Fixing your Hit Chart is about the *display*, not erasing your rounds. - **A wrong number is fixable.** If a club reads too low or too high, set it by hand — your value wins until you revert. - **Carry is an estimate** (roll varies by club) unless you set it or a launch monitor measures it. We never label an estimate as measured. - **Max is motivation; the range is what you count on.** Both are true, shown together.
